Site status: consented

Background: the planning application for Burnfoot East Wind Farm was formally consented by Clackmannanshire Council in March 2019, following the negotiation of a Section 75 planning obligations agreement.

Next steps: construction work is scheduled to start on the three turbine project, an extension to the existing 21 turbine Burnfoot Hill, Burnfoot North and Rhodders Wind Farms, in September 2019. Construction is scheduled to take up to 12 months, allowing for a break over the winter in case of adverse weather conditions.
