Key facts about Camilty

6 turbines

Planned capacity of 25.8MW, capable of powering up to 15,000 homes*

Re-application expected in January 2021

EDF Renewables intend to submit a new planning application to West Lothian Council for the previously consented Camilty Wind Farm, to secure a taller turbine tip height (from 138.5m to 149.9m) and a longer operational life (from 25 years to 30 years).

The Camilty Wind Farm Virtual Pre Application Consultation Event will take place from Thursday 19th November until Thursday 3rd December online, click here to access. Exhibition materials will be available for viewing (and downloading) during this time, and members of the public will also have an opportunity to arrange a call back to discuss the proposals with the project team. There will also be an opportunity to make comment on the proposals during this two week consultation period. All comments must be sent to EDF Renewables at this stage, and not to West Lothian Council. Comments can be made via the virtual exhibition, by emailing or by post to EDF Renewables, Atria One, Level Seven, 144 Morrison Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8EX. There will be an opportunity to make representations to West Lothian Council when a formal planning application for the proposal is submitted, which we currently expect will be in January 2021.
