Key facts about Clash Gour

48 turbines

Planned capacity of up to 225MW, capable of powering up to 135,000 homes*

Consent application submitted December 2018

The Clash Gour Wind Farm has been developed by Force 9 Energy working in partnership with EDF Renewables via a Joint Development Agreement. Force 9 Energy is an independent, UK based renewable energy developer. If the Clash Gour project is consented, EDF Renewables would build, own and operate the wind farm.

Next steps: because the proposed development will be over 50MW, the wind farm is classed as a Section 36 scheme and requires the submission of an application to the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit (ECU).

The application was lodged with the ECU in December 2018 and the Environmental Impact Assessment Report submitted as part of the planning application is available to download from www.force9energy.com/projects/current/clash-gour and www.energyconsents.scot.

A hard copy of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report can also be viewed at:
Forres Library, Grantown Library, Moray Council, Edinkillie Hall, Houldsworth Institute, Knockando Hall

Any representations to the application may be submitted via the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit.
