Western Star is a proposed floating offshore wind farm in the Atlantic Ocean
The Western Star project is a 50:50 joint venture between Simply Blue Group and EDF Renewables. Located at least 35km off the west coast of Clare, in waters approximately 110m deep, it will have a total capacity of c.1.35GW, powering the equivalent of over one million homes.
